David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.

David Walliams

Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

An official for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.

The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

He has published more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
