World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second straight season.

The 27-year-old captured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – which included retaining the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Dominance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in the French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the whole season as the top-ranked player, ending 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first player to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka finished the season with a 63-12 win-loss record, and picked up a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.

She earned nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by international tennis media.

On 28 December, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "raise women's tennis to a greater prominence".
